Executed in 1963. Oppenheim had a passion for fairy tales and magic. As a mature artist, she often referred to diaries, sketchbooks, and doodles she created as a teenager to visualize and reimagine stories and characters from her past. Comprising subject matter and formal elements that encourage new associations, her drawings from the 1950s and 60s are a continuation of her practice from when she was living in Paris in the 1930s.
